Additional Cool Links

Jeffrey Moose is a Poulsbo-based drummer who runs an aboriginal art gallery in downtown Seattle. We love having Jeffrey perform with us and thoroughly enjoy his influence on our lives. You can hear his drumming on our CD.

Old Blind Dogs (who are WONDERFUL live), Chris Norman, Alisdair Fraser, and Altan have had a huge influence on us. We thank them for their music, their style, and their performances. We've learned a lot from them. Chris also offers a summer "camp" venue for traditional flute players (Irish, Breton, Cape Breton, and Baroque the world over). It's called Boxwood and is a wonderful gathering of people along the Lighthouse Trail in stunning Nova Scotia.

The Mudcat Cafe where you can find lyrics and talk music.

Both David and Ken play with Jeannie Rose and her website has pictures of both of them.

Tania Opland and Mike Freeman spend their time surviving on their music from home bases in Ireland and Suquamish, Washington. They're wonderful musicians, great friends, and occasional hot tub partners.

Smoke Creek and Brownsville Road are bands with Mike Murray, who has been a loyal follower and fan of Crooked Mile since the beginning. We value his friendship over the years and encourage people to listen to his bluegrass- and old-time-based music.

William Pint and Felicia Dale are another pair of incredible musicians who spend FAR too much time away from home making a living at making music. If you get a chance to see them, do it.

And then there's John and Anna Peekstok, who perform as Telynor. They're fun to see in concert and as much fun to jam with whenever we get the chance.

Two musical influences that Barbara claims are Oak, Ash, and Thorn (they'll be in Washington soon, too) and Meg Davis, but for different reasons. The guys in Oak, Ash and Thorn made Renn Faires a place to enjoy truly bawdy and ribald music, and Meg's music adds her stunning voice to ethereal lyrics. Long may their music be heard!

A Prairie Home Companion plays some of the best music around!

Barbara A. Denz as Writer. Shameless plug for the other side of her personality.
